It's look like for most people the issue is caused by their device time being out of sync with local time / network time by more than 5 minutes (this causes some expected failures in the login authentication mechanism, but the current error messaging indicating "no network connection" is misleading/unhelpful).
We are updating this script to give more explicit instructions.
In the meantime, for everyone who is having this issue: please first make sure your device time matches your network time / local time. If this does not fix it, please post logs and we will track down your particular error/issue and attempt to fix.
